Hiking up Lion’s Head on the night of the full moon is a Cape Town tradition. There were so many people on the mountain last night in fact that we had to queue for about 40 minutes to get down the ladders.
This shot was taken almost an hour after sunset, it’s 7 minutes long at f4.0 with my camera perched precariously on the edge of a precipice. The streams of blue are light from descending climber’s LED headlamps over the course of the exposure.
