Strolling Beneath an Infrared Sky

I am holidaying with Alys’ family in Mosselbaai this year, staying at Riverside, where this was taken.
I have been waiting for an opportunity to use the R72 filter that I ordered months ago, but it’s taken until now to find a nice suitable scene. Only foliage glows nicely under IR it seems.

Beautiful infrared shot – I must try this effect one day.

Thanks, glad you like it. I use an R72 filter on my old Canon S2IS, since it has a very strong IR response. The filter just cuts out all of the visible light.

It might even be a good one for canvas… The photo shop at Blue Route prints regular photos at large sizes quite cheaply. I can give it a go and see what it looks like.
